Whitney

Not enough can be said about this Asian delight
She’s beautiful sunshine that comes after the dark night
When she smiles she takes the darkness out of the stark night
Giving warmth and joy to the world to make our day bright

She shines a light of truth, innocent and undefiled
With her wonderful warm rays so gentle and mild
She has wisdom, with the obedience of a child
A passion for life that would drive the passionate wild

One cannot see her without thinking of the bright sun
The sweet innocence of life when life was first begun
The love of the Creator, beauty in unison
Harmony perfected when God’s creation was done

Is it such a mystery, is it so surprising,
That we all look toward the east for the sun’s rising?
There is no denying, there is no disguising
I have a poet’s passion for philosophizing

Please excuse my passion, for my passion is as pure,
As her bright passion for Life, that I pray will endure
I believe one day that she will rise to meet the Son
Setting suns have risen since creation was begun
