Laugh outside, only inside cry

by Treakle   Jun 10, 2005

"it's more of a poem with meaning than anything i guess, be critical in any comments, i don't mind."

Be happy with what life throws at you
I guess it's all I've learned
Be happy about how it all turned out
Away from this, you smile and turn.

Smile at the way it all goes wrong
This is how I cope
Laugh at it as failure stares at you
And never ever loose your hope

Cheer as people take pitty on you
And one day they will see
That deep down theres a huge pain inside,
A longing to be happy.

Never look down on yourself
Never regret the past
Everything always mends in the end
Never resort to self harm.

Laugh outside, only inside cry
Then nobody will notice
That all the hurt and pain you feel
Cannot be spoken by voice.

Remember someone is worse off
Even if they cope better
At least you have something to hold on to;
A memeory of one you had love for.

Laugh outside, only inside cry
And hope someone will notice.
