Dear Father

by shakenangel   Jun 13, 2005

A rotting carpet,
A tattered couch,
The TV in repair,
I've been here once,
Thank god that's all,
Because already I despair,
Into the house,
I boldly go,
One giant leap for mankind,
The dirty dishes,
Piled up high,
This place won't get you peace of mind,
You're sitting there,
A distant look,
A brief hug then no more,
A quiet visit,
You don't care,
I swear to god my heart you tore,
You keep this up,
You'll soon be gone,
Hell, you're already dead inside,
It's me or death,
You've got a choice,
I'd hurry and decide.
