A Million People

by SmilingShadow   Jun 14, 2005

I stand in a room with a million people, all like me
People that all know how I feel, that all feel like me
A million people that all know what I go through and go through the same thing
I stand in a room with a million people, all like me
But somehow I’ve never felt more alone

I walk down an empty hall
I’m falling down a hollow shaft
Trying to grasp something to hold
Anything to stop my tumbling flight, uncontrolled

The braches of life hitting me as I go, trying to stop my rapid descent to hell
But in the end they only beat me down further, biding me farewell
My energy is drained, my grip is shaky
My color is fading and my body is wasting away
They all turn their heads from me and I hide it all from them

I follow a million people and a million people will follow me
We are all together, yet each one of us is apart
