She was my sister and best friend
We often fought, but still had fun
People said I looked like a younger her
Although she was the prettier one
She had a boyfriend that I didn't like
He took the times my sister had with me
She was happy, and for that I was, too
But seeing him put me in misery
I knew love would come for her sometime
I just didn't know it would come so soon
He was what made her day, something I used to do
He made me a shut out in my room
I would sit there many hours
Wondering where she could be
Although I had a feeling she was with him
Because she wasn't with me
All the times we had as children
Were forgotten in those times with him
They were no longer two separate people
They were now referred to as a them
I missed how we had laughed
And how sometimes even cried
How she was the only sister I'd have
Even when we both died
Sisters can't be broken so easily
Even in the times not so deep
But those moments we had as sisters
I will hold dearly and forever keep
But I have found how happy she is
And I've had her for so long
We will forever be sisters
We will forever be strong
Even though I don't want her to go
I have to see how she can hold her own
Even if it means losing times we could've spent
I might be better off alone
A relationship that once was lost
Is coming out of the garbage can
