Let The World Know How You Feel

by Nici   Jun 16, 2005

Wear your conscience on your wrist
Let the world know how you feel
A clear message through the mist
One you’ll no longer conceal

Wear your heart upon your sleeve
Let all those emotions show
The feelings which you weave
That you mind would rather stow

Wear your pride upon your chest
Be proud of who you are
Those times you were the best
When you shone like a star

Wear you honesty on your face
In plain view; for all to see
Home truths in the right place
And your kind integrity

Wear your fears on both your feet
Deep rooted, helping you walk on
Making your life more complete
Each time you conquer one

I don't know if this was inspired by the phrase "wear your heart on your sleeve" but it seems that way. You did well to expand on that, and I think it worked well. It reads as an encouraging poem about showing your emotions. I have one suggestion though, second stanza, fourth line, I think you meant "your."
    Keep it up.

'Wear your conscience on your wrist'

This line means have a clear conscience, be open about how you feel.

    Hope that helps

It was very good, I liked the flow and the choice of words. I didn't understand the first line though "wear your concience on your wrist" what did that mean?
