Conflicted

I’m lost
Conflicted
My life:
Just one contradiction
I don’t know
Who I am
What I am
Or what I hope to be

I say I’m strong
But I cry these painful tears

I swear I’ll be brave
But I’m plagued by old fears

I smile to your face
Then hide my pain in disgrace

I’m so broken and confused
I can’t find the true me
How do I know where to go,
When I don’t know where I want to be
