XxCries in the nightxX

I lie awake for hours
haunted by the cries
listening to the screams
trying to close my eyes

clatters upstairs
disturbing my sleep
hearing my mothers cry
makes my heart grow weak

I'm scared to face this man
who i once called, "father"
but so much has changed
i wish i was stronger

i hate being scared
I'm tired of this fight
my mom's getting hurt
and I'm the one haunted by her cries.
