Dancing In The Rain

by JJ   Jun 17, 2005

We snuck out in our bare feet
Ran out onto the front lawn
Rain clouds we'd come to greet

Our arms stretched open wide
tasting the tears of heaven
we laughed and than we cried

The whole world was ours
and the universe revolved around us
The moon, the skies and the stars

Together we danced in the pouring rain
underneath the dark clouds in the sky
Our innocence, so pure and plain

We were wild and care free
Nothing could break us apart
this bond between you and me

Jumping in the puddles in the drive
getting our pretty clothes dirty
we never felt so happy and alive

Our hearts beating fast
filled with love for each other
we made memories to last

When the rain seized to fall
we waited for the sun to shine
until we heard our mother's call
