Darkness

by lostlllsoul   Jun 18, 2005

She runs into her room
the door bangs behind her
it was the daily routine
every single day of the year

She takes out her knife
the only true friend she ever had
then she plays a game with her life
the only true one she has led

The cold blade touches her skin
slowly a fountain of red appears
as she thinks of how her life's been
crimson red grows clear

Behind her the noise hasn't faded
no one realized she was gone
for it was this life she had hated
now to darkness she will be born

As she lays in the dark
and takes away her life
as she lies back dead
beside her knife

Crimson blood surrounds her body
as she lies hollow
just let her be
for death she has followed

Her heart becomes cold
as her veins run dry
her body grows numb
in darkness she will die
