Not A World For Me

by Loneliness Is A State Of Mind   Jun 21, 2005

Just look out the window,
What do you see?
A world that could have been everything to me.

Look at the ocean,
Look at the sun,
There are so many things I still haven’t done.

Walking in the park,
Swimming in a pool,
There are more things in life than attending a school.

Like falling in love,
Having your first kiss,
I feel like there’s so much left that I miss.

Like holding a person,
and never let go,
I feel like there’s so much that I don’t know.

What it’s like to be happy,
What it’s like to be free,
What it’s like to know someone actually cares for me.

A world without pain,
A world without a fight,
A world where everyone and everything feels right,

Then I look in the mirror,
And what do I feel?
My heart is broken, and it’ll never heal.

Just look out the window,
What do I see?
A world...
that means nothing to me.
