How Does It Feel?

How does she feel
Holding her diploma high
Watching her family and friends cheering her on in tears
Wondering if she?ll start to cry?

How does he feel
After having his second stroke
To watch his daughter playing in the yard
Hoping he can stay on Earth to watch her grow?

How does she feel
Seeing the accident on the news
Later receiving a phone call saying
That her friend died in a crash because the driver was loose on booze?

How does he feel
When he?s cheating on his girlfriend
Knowing his boys would call him a fake
If he didn?t follow the playa trend?

How does she feel
With the barrel shoved to her head?
She was working the graveyard shift when a robber entered the store
BAM. She?ll never see her son again.

How does he feel?
The young boy whose mother was murdered
Laid a red rose on top of her casket
Went home and slit his wrist so he would no longer be hurting

How does she feel
Being raped by her father
Cries alone in the dark
Only wishing she was stronger

How does he feel
Living with his mother
Who?d beat him just because he was gay
He?d go to school and hide the shame

How does she feel
Cradling her first baby in her arms
Feeling the tiny hinds grasp her contrasting thumb
And emitting a new energy from her heart

How does he feel
To see the kids he knew since they were babies
All grown up
Then they leave after a visit and he?s all alone in the house again

How does she feel
When he boyfriend kicks her to the ground
Right in front of their own child
Whose brown eyes are wide and round

How does he feel
After his heart?s split in two
When the one he cared for the most
Said, "I don?t love you".

How does she feel
To drag the razor across her skin
Staring into blank space
Not understanding what she did

How does he feel
Being a soldier of war
Coming back home alive in one piece
Knowing that the others won?t

How does she feel
Being labeled a s.l.u.t.
When she goes to her room and blasts the music
She actually questions her own innocence and finds that it?s just too much

How does it feel
When you hear about someone
Who?s been murdered, raped, abused, committed suicide Even cut to let the nightmares out from the inside

Or when you suffer a loss
So great that you just cry
Or when the love of your life leads you on
And you realize all you had was a lie?

How does it feel
When you find yourself alone
When you are labeled by cruel society
And what they say can cut through the bone

Or what?s it like
To have someone proud of you
To watch your own creation develop
Knowing it was all because of you

What?s all that like?

HOW DOES IT FEEL???

*Every stanza is about someone that I know...this took me a long time to write (IT TOOK UP TWO WHOLE PAGES, FRONT AND BACK!) but let me know if it was worth the read. :) Peace Love You All...*
