My blood runs cold lying here in your shadow. Eyes wide open, just knowing that all of this will soon be over. Feeling you heart beat keeps me knowing that I’m not alone here in the darkness. The air gets thicker with each and every breath; I can only but take short breaths in your cursed company. I know this soon will be over. My tears can only hold back for so much longer, while we lie in our bittersweet memories of a better past time; filled with love and compassion. My mind gradually covers all feelings of the joyous summers we spent underneath the blazing sun. You told me we had our whole lives together; it’s almost over. Glancing out the small window every so often to see if autumn will come on time once again, but hoping summer’s love will stop our fate. Watching you in this peaceful state brings me great sorrow and regret of all the hurt I put you through. If only you could stay dreaming, because I know if you wake, it will be over.
