Cancer of Obsession

by FailureToSmile   Jul 26, 2005

Tension flew like fireflies in the darkness; me being weak, I still believed that our love was worth saving. Ours lips locking felt as if I was kissing a stranger, but we flooded our sorrows away with a night of endless passion. Your warm body against mine, feeling every heart beat, made me scream for more. You gasped for air when the time was right, but I felt real love when the time was wrong. Drowning in our cancer of obsession, we acted like nothing had changed, like we were both still in love; only to lose ourselves in the feeling. Your eyes made me shiver in the chill air because I knew your secrets. But I couldn't resist your touch. When dawn set upon the horizon, there was just too much that time could not erase; too much love that could not be healed.
