Perfect Night

by Chad   Jun 24, 2005

A blanket of stars, covering the night.
Under the spell of the steel-white moon.
Crickets sing their unmistakable music.
I lay there, listening to what they have to say.
The sky gets deeper, the stars get brighter.
The cool breeze, playing with my hair.
Clouds space around the moon, like bodyguards.
Animals rumbling around in the brush, looking for their next meal.
Smell the impatient perception in the air.
Shooting stars fall from the heavens.
Sky, thick with royal blue.
The moons craters take you to a new world.
A world of peace and tranquility.
Starts wink back from the nights sky.
Diamonds of the genital night.
It commands attention.
And attention I give it.
This is the perfect night.
