Sad, Empty Soul!

by Jennifer Fox or Jackson   Jun 25, 2005

Beyond the tired eyes
and the look of complete sadness
is a person who feels pain
on the edge of true madness.

Isolated from the world
her mind had built a wall
keeping every thought in her head
so no more does she fall.

Hiding behind every shadow
her image became a fade.
forgetting she ever existed
six feet under, is where she was laid.

Now into the darkness
sad and alone
her soul sinks into hell
all on its own.

No more neglect
from any family or friends
this is the true reason
her life was forced to met its ends.

All she ever asked for was love
and a little attention on the side
but she was slowly forgotten about
and never noticed when she died.

The police said it was suicide
her parents were informed.
They never even showed to her funeral
the dead girls heart was once again toren.

Never was she noticed
or helped out by a friend
no wonder she had tracks up her arms
one in which, led her to the end.

Some days later
after the funeral of the girl who died
old friends began to wonder
why they never even tired.

Regrets of not ever trying to help
the girl who was always so sad
her old friends started to feel
what it was like to become mad.

Why hadn't they helped
the girl who was once considered a friend
she was always so silent and shy
maybe they could of prevented her fatal end.

No more did the girl have to wonder
what it was like to feel whole
her direction in life was chosen
and all she was left with, was a sad, empty soul!

I like it, had a good flow and emotion to it, a few minor mistakes here and there, but nothing that can't be fixed with a quick re-read. Well done.
