A Story

by Lecrissa   Jun 25, 2005

Let me tell you
About a little girl I once knew
She was an Innocent
Till her step daddy got through
She knew what it was like
To be at the wrong end of a gun
She had so many broken bones
She feared they would never mend

Life with just her mother
Was filled with so much pain
Her mom blamed her of seducing
All her boyfriends
They often fought
using more than just words
The scars left behind
would always hurt

She ran away at the age of 14
Selling herself
So she would have something to eat
She got into drugs
And thought that
Nobody would ever love her
It didn't take long for her
To soon discover
That there where hundreds
of girls just like her

A true story
Sad but true
Now that little girl
Makes a living helping
Others just like me and you

This Story is about one of my closest life long friends. If it hadn't been for her I would have been dead at 16. She is a philologist now helping others.
