So many of us have felt this way, God does not magically cure all woes... God dwells in the hearts of good souls who would confort and give unconditional love to those who have been through many pains just as they. Though these people seem not to exist, they are in fact all around you :)

Be strong, thankyou for sharing your art and remember there is still some good left in this world.

    peace

you know what I find very ironic. The title states "An Atheist's Prayer" but if Atheist's don't believe in Christ, how come they're praying lol, ? But anyhow, I'm not a religious person at all ... I'm actually a dabbler Satanist at the moment until I can upscale. These questions are often wondered to souls among the world.... ya know? I know you've heard it times before but we endure pain to make us stronger. Every time we go through a trial in our lives, we learn something new. Be thankful for everything you encounter because deep down inside, it does nothing but makes you a stronger person full of wisdom and hope. But I loved the unique aspect of your poem. Sorry for trying to enrich your life, i get carried away lol.

I am not VERY religious but I do believe in God. He has never spoken to me, although I do still believe. I've gone through much hurt and do not rely on him as many in my position would do. I've turned to people. I doubt you really care what I have to say but I'll say it anyway. God loves you even if you don't believe he does. He is always there even though he doesn' t show it. I've been lost and still am. Don't listen to me, listen to your heart. Do what it says.

I agree with your poem so much! God is a fictional character only created because us, humans, need someone higher to look up too. It's in our nature to always believe that there is something bigger and better out there.

Ok, I saw little God mails in here. I wanna state my case before I get anymore people saying bathe in the blood of the lamb. I know there is something higher, but I don't know what. I don't think that a god helps us all the time. If he did, where was he when cancer was killing my grandfather. I don't mean to be mean, but please stop sending all these things. Think I'm crazy or whatever, but all I am is stating a few beliefs.

that was beautiful....... I dotn think i can think of a better word to descibe it.

I'm a christian, and i do believe, but i do question god alot. Most of my friends are athiest or agnostic so i kinda have an idea where you are coming from. You have an amazing talent in writing. Keep up the good work.

    Much love ~ Jess

    "Thanks for the pain, Amen."

I thought this poem was awesome. Though I don't like complaining to god, I do feel this way sometimes. and I have grown to not beleive him anymore. He's merely a figure people made up to feel better about themselves. good job.

    Take Care,

I think someday, you'll find God. I know you feel as if you're rejected by Him, since you feel rejected in society, in general. I know it's difficult. Sometimes, God answers prayers in ways, that you may not realize. For example: "Letting you have life to live, when being born premature" or "Through the friends he sends you," and so forth. Again, this poem is very well expressed. Very well written. And, very good. Please; whatever you do, DO NOT give up.
