Another damn dream

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jun 27, 2005

I drempt upon such a wondrous dream
I was skipping along on the grass so green
Nothing to yell at me nothing to be mean
Just skipping along on the grass so green
Life is so good life is so great
In this dream there was nothing to hate
The sun so bright
The leaves so green
The apples so red
But then in this dream
I found some one dead
A dead body did lay
by a rock and a tree
Oh why oh why is this in my dream?
With long black hair
Just lying in the grass
like he wasn't really there
I bent down to touch him
Why he was still warm
I thought he'd be as cold as a dark rainy storm
Then his eyes opened
he startled me then
he then smiled and said
"Sorry about that kid."
I just smiled at him with his long black hair
I could do nothing but stand there and stare
Such a pale smiling face
and friendly black eyes
under all those black clothes
his body did hide
"I'm sorry." I said
"I thought you were dead."
He just laughed and sat up
I then sat down too
The weather so nice and the sky so blue
I then smiled and said "I love you."
I then covered my mouth
How silly of me
Speaking thoughts out loud?
Now what's he think of me?
He just smiled and stared
I was no longer scared
I then dared to speak
but he said something first
"It seems to me that your mouth has a curse."
I giggled a little as his eyes stared at me
My heart felt so happy
So filed with glee
Oh this was the best thing that ever happened to me
He plucked an apple from the tree he then took two bites and gave the rest to me
The perfect boy
The perfect day
But this was only a dream
Then I wake in the morning
feeling so empty that it was just another damn dream
