Look into my eyes

by undying blusher   Jun 27, 2005

Take a closer look
Widened blood vessels
In the cornea of my eyes
Simply white no more
Inflamed, branched like red limbs of a tree
Veinlets streaked, crossed, creeped
Dark circles, puffiness, crease
Gloomy, dreary
Shadowy, weary
Quite teary
Pining they couldn’t see
Wishing they wouldn’t look at me
Yearning for the day
Wishful thinking holds no truth
No realistic proof
Crust over
Never open again
I’ll be my own friend
