Passing on the right

by Felycia Tatarek   Jun 29, 2005

This man he died a year ago
A driver took his life from him
Now all we've got are memories
Because of one man's sin

Driving is a privilege
It's not a "have to" or "a must"
It's depending on other drivers
It's all a matter of trust

When someone drives too slowly
You pass on the left side
It's dangerous any other way
They couldn't save him though they tried

He was turning then he hit a car
Passing through the road
He was thrown to the pavement
This is what I've been told

His head was smashed and heart had stopped
He died on impact right away
He didn't have time to react
He couldn't stop, He couldn't pray

So now this man, he's got no life
The man he hit was not fine
Even now the man's in jail
He couldn't make up for lost time

Next time you get in your car
Think before you might
Get impatient and kill someone
By passing on the right
