Tear Drop

by Tom Cheriyan   Jul 3, 2005

Like a glistening pearl, from the eye,
The tear drop slowly slid,
My heart as if with scooped hands, rushed
To hold this precious gem, before it fell.

My heart’s hands silently scooped the pearl.
Cradled gently in soft palms,
Wrapping it with velvet cloth,
Safely placing. in its own oyster shell.

For such precious gems of divine creation,
Are not to fall on earth’s dusty floor.
But each kept for posterity,
Each a glimmering moonbeam, shining on life’s inner door.

For each little jewel carries a tale,
Deep with divine intent,
Each adorning a golden page of life,
Each a different story to tell.

    Tess,
The innerself feels each and every tear drop that falls, showing us new avenues of fresh experiences, that germinate from the ground that the tear drop has fallen uppon. However I tried to capture the story of that tear drop, before it fell to the ground.
