I can’t love you anymore

You’re endearing charm…smile
I want to be everything
Someone you can count on
To love ever so fully
I want to be perfect for you
But I know I’ll never be
I’ll try forever and ever
And never give up
I’ll strive to be
For all my eternity
Just to be perfect for you
But until then…
I’ll watch you from afar
See your hopes and dreams
Wishing I were there
But I know I can’t
You’re too good to ruin
Too hard to miss
Too perfect to love
So until then my love
I’ll stand in the shadows
Wait for the light
It will come for me
Make me right again
So I can love you once more
