The Showerhead and the Sink Tap

by Tom Cheriyan   Jul 4, 2005

I am a showerhead
Standing tall and firm
Looking down on my kingdom
And that sink tap,
The measly little worm.
When the Master comes in
The shower-time, does reaffirm
My superiority over the sink tap,
That measly little worm.
Then one day, the water ran out.
'T'was a burst pipe',
The master did confirm,
Visited us five times two,
For water to check,
Only went to the sink tap,
Now that did make me squirm!
Ignored me completely,
With silver crown on my head,
Did not even look at me,
Standing tall and majestically.
Has the Master gone mad?
What has the world come to?
To spend time with the sink tap,
That measly little worm!

    Thx.

Our ego builds little imaginary kingdoms. Lo behold, one day that kingdom is shattered by someone least expected, bringing one back to reality!!
