Never lost your best friend to a piece of medal never held your grampus hand as he passed on Never seen the scar of an arm cut too deep Never sat in fear hoping she is still alive Never prayed to the Lord he isn't dead Never went to bed with tears from being hit too hard Never woken to shouts of all the things you did wrong Never ran away in search of a safer spot Never held the hand of a dieing man Never cried while the pastor prayed Never rode to a 13 year olds funeral Never stood alone in face of the world Never lost your best friend and only sister all these things you'll never know
