Girl

by Lecrissa   Jul 5, 2005

A little girl lost and alone
Her mother betrayed her
Her father long gone

She feels like no one sees her
That no one cares
No one notices her
When she sheds her tears

She tells herself
It don't matter
Trying to hide the truth
That she's vunerable
In her youth

Life in the streets
Helped to toughen her up
She's still young
But on the inside
She has grown up
She has no more need to rely on any one

She knows how to fight
Even draw blood
She carries a knife along with her gun
She knows some day
Perhaps real soon
That she will be laying in her own blood
Under the light of the moon

The first two verses where writen 6 years ago. The rest was writen today 7-5-05. Did it turn out ok?

Turned out exellent!! I have thought about taking some of my older poems from back in high school and redoing them. I should since I can't seem to come up with any ideas these days! Good idea to add on to an older poem! Keep it up! =) ~Brooke~
