Daddy's Little Girl

by The Secret Keeper   Jul 10, 2005

Once a pon a time,
I was Daddy's little girl,
He said I was his world,
And I even had cute curls.

But then a day came,
When my daddy pulled me aside,
And told me a secret,
That made me cry inside.

He told me that I wasn't,
His own little girl,
He told he wasn't my daddy,
On the day he got his own little girl.

I never forgave,
That man I called Daddy,
He could have told me nicer,
Or before that very morning.

But now he sounds sad,
But I don't even feel bad,
Cause he never cared for me,
After he got Jenny.

Maybe now he knows,
How I felt that fateful day,
Just after he gave me the news,
That changed my world forever.

How sad. So many people will be able to relate to this piece. Just having not had a father not necessarily the same situation you had.

You lost the rhyme scheme in a few places. No big deal though it would sound better if you fixed it...either way...just so that it's all the same.

Other than that I'd say pretty nice write! :) Take Care!! 5/5
