Angel Light

Black clouds fill the sky
Darkness envelops my world
Then a blinding light parts through the clouds
This angel light begins to unfurl

What was once black
Now has light
What was once dark
Is now heavenly bright

I see you know, descending from the pale blue sky
Your wings beside you, purely white
Your black hair blows in the wind
The glow around your body breaks through the night

Your pale feet tenderly touch the ground
They stay clean although they’re upon black dirt
You light the path you walk
Wherever you go, you erase all the hurt

You raise the sun
From beneath the cold dark snow
You make roses bloom
You allow them to grow

Each step you take towards me
You light up my life
Each breath you take
You ignite the darkness in the night

What was once black
Now has light
What was once dark
Is now heavenly bright
You are my angel light
