Lookin ahead, and lookin back

There are times in ones life
when they are forced to look back at their past,
forced to review every mistake,
everything they had done.

I have spent a lot of my time looking back,
looking at my past.
I have made so many mistakes,
that I cant believe
that I have done anything right.

I have had a rough month,
of just looking back.
But now...
because of you,
I am looking ahead.

Your with me now,
your here by my side.
You've helped me through everything,
and now,
I am looking ahead,
to what life will be like,
when I’m with you.

I am not longer looking back,
I am always looking ahead,
ahead at the new life,
and all the possibilities.

No longer looking back,
at all my mistakes,
and all of my sins.

But instead, looking forward,
at what it will be like,
when i have learned from those mistakes.

why look back,
when you can look forward?

So,
put your hand in mine,
and lets look ahead together,
at the life were building.
