Creatures of the Night

by Thomas Key   Jul 17, 2005

Werewolves,
Vampires,
Ghosts,
Undead.

Dead,
Alive,
We don't know why,
We want to live,
We don't know why,
We want to die,

We become creatures of the night,
To hunt and to hide,
Away from the light,
Of day.

Werewolves,
Vampires,
Ghosts,
And undead,

We envy Dracula,
We want the strength of the human-wolf,
We watch in awe at ghosts,
And we want to never die.

Dead,
Alive,
We don't know why
we want to live,
we don't know why
we want to die.

Teeth,
Fangs,
Invisibility,
Invincibility.

Vampires,
Werewolves,
Ghosts,
Undead.

Are we ever truly Alive,
are we ever truly dead?
