The Greatest Loss

by Hannah Leigh Pate   Jul 19, 2005

Love never has and never will exist.
Never did I really believe.
You wonder if it’s you I miss.
But it’s time for you to see.

I never did love you.
Although I said those words,
It was never really true.
And now I want to leave this world…

The greatest loss would not be you.
My mourning will not be loss of love.
I will not cry over us like you do.
And I have finally had enough.

Listen to me, and understand.
You and I never were.
Want to know why, this is where I stand…
I hate you because you loved her.
