The Key of Silence

by Eden   Jul 20, 2005

Emotion lies in the heartless men
Contaminated by Earth's ruthless spin
Running now to void the pain
And risk the penalty for peace once again...

...Before
A menacing satirical grin
Made me scream a guttural sin
And then the chain cuts deep my back
Ransacked and pillaged, my sanity grew slack.
Until the black door creaked open a bit
A dark form glided in and a candle was lit.
Empty eyes filled with hate stared through me...
It was then that I knew I should never be free.
A skeletal hand guided by eyes across the room;
This cell, now my horror, would soon be my tomb...
If I did not so what was cruelly required
Of this demonic fiend...my fate had acquired.
I crossed my legs and listened well
To loathsome words in a hateful chill.
Crimson lips belied her evil, here...
The words she spoke made everything so clear.
Maybe I wouldn't die here in this tomb...
...For all that was required...was my womb.

A pitiful song of her gentle lashes
Golden eyes were slit like stone ashes
And when her lavender hand touched my face...
A hideous smile from within danced with grace.
A Christian no more, for I felt darkness with glee...
Surreptitious and dangerous, I knew I'd be free.
Chains turned to charcoal as I lifted my head;
Stared into her eyes...the grateful undead...
I accepted my new fate she birthed unto me.
My child would soon come to Earth and Be.
A fiend of the light and a spawned birthright,
To the pact which transpired between Halet's eyesight.
I stood up slowly and accepted Halet's kiss.
Just one thing more she said, which was this:

"Plagued by mankind and the ashes you wrought
I am the creator...and you I have caught.
A gentle word here and you'll listen well
Else the pact be broken and you be damned to hell.
.....In your heart the Key.
Twist and turn until released.
Then, on then, will you learn to Be.
And then, only then, will Darkness be pleased."
