My Hearts Maiden Voyage

by Kane Burden   Jul 25, 2005

The Ship of dreams
To embark on its maiden voyage.
I Used to fly my flag up high
I used to glow in pride.
Taking the largest step of my life
Is the hardest thing to do.
This ship is built to withstand the journey
But to cross the line
Sends chills through the crew.

Much is expected from my ship
I could be aiming too high
But what lies at the end of the line
Is the most Beautiful thing you can imagine,
The most wonderful country known to man
With skin as soft as snow
Eyes gleaming like the stars
And a personality that will always glow.

But this ship wasn't built to break the ice
This heart has gone aground.

Stabbed deep through the bulk
Darkness rushing in
Drowning the vessel in disbelief
This is the beginning of the end.

What once entered this world crying
Shall now leave this world dying.

This poem is my favorite. I totally agree with this. But your standards are what you need and desire:) Dont ever lower them, because you will find perfection in your eyes, the one who you will see, as... perfect!:)
