Wayward Souls

by Brad Champagne   Jul 25, 2005

I look on a world of blind confusion,
A world of darkness and sin,
And see a broken generation
Lost and empty within.

With focus set on earthly things,
Not on the Father's grace,
They wander on in endless strife
Turned from His lovely face.

How can these wayward souls be saved
From their rambling in the mire?
The answer is, for those of faith,
To on the strength of God retire.

Cast your cares upon the Lord,
Your burdens lay at His feet.
Take refuge in the warm embrace
Of the love so strong, complete.

We shine our light to cut the night
And lead the wanderers on
Along the path of righteousness,
To were we all belong.
