The Tear

It glides silently
Hinting at a raging storm
Held inside the heart
We knew that from the start

It slides merrily
Climbing the smiles curves
Overcome by joy
By the kiss of a boy

It falls desperately
Screaming for you not to leave
Followed by many more
If you walk out that door

It lingers speechless
Glistening in the candlelight
As you fall in front of me
All the way down to one knee

So many roles
For so small an object
