My Land

by Flying Phoenix   Jul 27, 2005

Time passes slowly
In this strange land of mine
Things at first appear oddly distorted
Although, in reality
They are all perfectly fine

My head has created
A place of peace
Where things go right
And nothing breaks the endless light

Yet things seem different
Places just are plain wrong
Peace doesn’t truly exist
The way is laid heavily
With a thick veil of mist

Vision blurred
I wander on
Not knowing where my feet tread
I trust my instincts
My heart and my head

Trust brings me back
Through the other side
Into life
Where I belong
With you
By my side

But you are not there
Not where you belong
But without me

Where did I go wrong?
