Never Be Forgotten

Daddy I went to your grave today
It was so pretty, only if you could see it
It’s got an American flag in front
And a beautiful candle lit

A picture of your family
Including me
We are all smiling just for you
My strong daddy

Im so proud of you
That you gave your life
For the sake of the country
Of man- kind

I cry every night for you daddy
I miss all the times we had
Knowing we'll never have them again
Makes me so very sad

I remember when you would tuck me in at night
And read me story’s of your life
I love you daddy,
And I’m not ready to say goodbye

Im writting this poem for you
So people would know
That you’re a strong man
And it’s hard to let go

Daddy, I love you
And I miss you so much
But I wish I could have hugged you
Just so I could feel your last touch

Daddy your special to me
Your definitely something
I ‘ll hold you in my heart forever
And you’ll never be forgotten
