Trapped within myself.
All emotions bottled up.
Kept inside for so long,
The anger rages within.

The secrets kept from all,
Hidden beneath my smile.
The tears I've cried,
Concealed behind these eyes.

Trapped within myself,
I continue to write.
Releasing what has been kept.
A prisoner of my past.

Pages full of sadness and sorrow
Stare blankly back at me.
Trapped within myself.
A prisoner of my past.
