Why won’t you let me?
Why won’t you let me in?
Why won’t you let me be your friend?
Not everyone is the same
In fact, we are all different (in ways)
Not everyone is going to treat you the way she did
Can’t judge the world as a whole
By one girl and the “parents” or people who just happen to live in the same “home”
I am sorry you are stuck there
With those people not fit to call “parents”
I am sorry for the way they speak to you,
For the way they treat you
I am sorry for all you’ve been through,
For all you are going through at the moment
I am sorry Love is meaningless in your eyes
(Your oh so unique, cool hazel-grey eyes)
I am sorry no one holds the title of “friend” in your life
I am not lying; I am telling the truth & will continue…
Why do I care, you ask?
Better question: why do they not care?
And why do you not care enough about yourself to treat your body as you do?
I nearly cried, sitting in my room, reading your words full of anger and pain…another form of self-harm to boot
On top of it all, you cut yourself too, as a release
I wish you would stop…but I hold no control over what you do…or anything…

Most of all I am sorry for all I have is words,
Which may hold no power…I am really not sure
Only words
And how can you trust me?
You just met me; you don’t know me
Sometimes you have to take a chance
Take a chance, I ask you please…
Trust me, let me be your friend, and try to believe all the words I say – without doubt or uneasiness
I am here, not going anywhere
Know that.
