Baptism

O Lord we thank You for Your word, blest are we who seek it
Lord, Your words give grace to us who hear it, or do speak it
Your grace flows like living water to purify our soul
Through Your most holy sacraments we are to be made whole

The first words that were spoken for me that I appreciate the most
Were I baptize thee in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
And in the sacrament of baptism, the most powerful words were said
While the most powerful water ever poured was poured upon my head

I was strengthened for my task on earth, and washed clean of original sin
Excepted into the Mystical Body of Christ for my spiritual life to begin
