Story on my arm

by rachel   Aug 2, 2005

There's a story written on my arm,
Tells of all consuming sadness and of self harm.

And i remember writing every line,
I remember the warmth of each teardrop of mine,
the sting of every cut,
how i tried to forget, but,
i remember where,
i remember why,
i remember the agony and sadness,
The temporary madness.

And so clearly i remember the peace i found with the knife,
The fantastic escape from the pain of life.
Sometimes i want to forget but i never will.

There's a story written on my arm,
tells of all consuming sadness and of self harm,
And i remember writing every line.
It'll haunt me forever,
Each moment of every day,
Cause this story is here to stay.

And I'll always remember,
whether or not i want to,
I'll always remember.

I think it's really good. It reminds me of my poem on here, Every Scar Has A Story. I guess we kind of think alike!
