Silent Soldiers

by Daniel Solomon   Aug 2, 2005

Collected and sampled. Xeroxed zero.
Only one infantry.
Together. The one. Back down to zero.
The blind eye searches for the enemy.
Endless destroyers.
Begin the motion.
The beginning of a voyage.
It falls within focus.
Beyond the sea.
Above the trend.
Closing the fist that bleeds.
Fading with each soldier that stands at attention.
One soldier dies. Another is born.
Spawned from within the clamor.
Living through the pain of mourn.
Listening to the thought of more.
Warm. Holding in the silence.
There’s nothing left to say.
Cold, from being a soldier of silence.
The noise will die today.
Through the ears of a dead world.
The promise that kept us apart.
Inside our voices will be heard.
We are going to win this war.
