Despair

On this bleak and dismal day
I rue the instant you were taken away
The two men who could light up my life
The two souls who guided me through all strife

My dearest husband and our precious son too
Taken cruelly away from me and you
My girls are all that I have left
Our hearts are broken and our souls bereft

They never meant anyone any harm
They were both good men, kind and calm
Their passion for life and the world around
Should not have been ended as they hit the ground

So much to live for so many who care
So much left to explore just because it’s there
They were too treasured to have their lives taken away
We needed them here each and every day
