For how long we were fooled
By this melody of heart
Is of a length unknown
But we were doomed from the start

The countless hours
We foreshadowed I DOs
It never would have hit me
That I would be a victim of this news

All good things must come to an end
Was a term I never let myself know
But now I hate myself for my ignorance
And the pain you caused me, you'll never know

How do you think I felt
When you left me standing in the cold?
On the inside I was devastated
But I held back my tears to appear bold

If there were pains I could erase
They would be the ones I was too blind to see
How would you feel if the only glimpse of love you owned
Was now cast out and lost deep at sea?
