No regrets

by FELTON PHILLIPS   Aug 7, 2005

Children, the fruit of life
are sweet as nectarines
and as complex as fermented grapes

yet simplicity is the key to their existence

their eyes are unclouded by the worlds touch
their souls are without the stain of sin
their ability to love unconditionally is enduring

laughter is their music
playing our hearts like violins
in some great symphony

listen, theirs is joy given freely

do not hesitate
follow their example, because in that moment
there are no regrets
