Goodbye bertie

by hannah morgan   Aug 8, 2005

If you say to someone my pony died today,
most people wouldn't be bothered,
they'd say it was only a horse,
but when i found out he was hurt i could have died.

he wasn't mine but i loved him like he was,
i loved seeing him even just going to shows,
nothing will be the same now,
beautiful Bertie really summed him up!

when you rang me and told me he was gone,
i did not know what to say, it was like a dream,
i felt sick, i wanted to cry, but physically i couldn't,
i did not cry till that night.

the show circuit will never be the same,
Rising-hoe Bright Light has gone,
it still seems like a nightmare,
i cannot imagine how you feel.

when you feel down look up to the sky,
and Bertie is galloping around kicking up his heels,
eating the grass, jumping fences,
not having to worry.

even though he has gone from here,
hes still with us, in our hearts,
he always will be and wont be forgotten,
we love ya and miss ya Bertie boo forever

R.I.P berlington bertie always loved never forgotten, glad you died doing what you love best. xxxx
