In Love With A Vampire

by AsTheCrowFlies   Aug 8, 2005

He was a man
Yet not a man
He lived
Yet his heart didn't beat
If she called to him
He would come to her
She opened her mouth
And called out his name
And as he promised
He came to her
But only with the cover of night
She loved him
With all her heart
And he loved her
With his cold dead heart
They could look
But not touch
For if his lips lingered on her neck
He might be tempted to drink
The innocent and the damned
I guess it's true that opposites attract
What a splendid and awful feeling
Being in love with a vampire
