Peach Tea From Walgreens

by lisa marie   Aug 10, 2005

Peach tea from walgreens
Is the story of my life
Awake to another day
Of the peach tea routine

Awake to a shining sun
90 degree weather
And a butterfly
That keeps my life together

Because if you saw this butterfly
Every morning in July
Waiting for your day to start
With peach tea from Walgreens

You'd have say in how i sing
Or the way i pick my flowers
And you to would cry in spring
When you wait alone for hours

Cause my grass is never green
My flowers are always dead
While my peach tea from Walgreens
Is empty under your bed

Hmmmm, I'm liking this more and more each time I read it! It's very different and unlike anything I've read on this site! It flows nicely and the imagery is bright and shiny. Oh and the twist at the end makes for an awesome poem! Keep it up~Holly
