Oblivious

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Aug 15, 2005

Oblivious to the world, she walks alone.
She stands in a crowd, unaware of anyone.
Unable to see what it shown, she stares ahead.
Unable to sense the love that surrounds her.

Oblivious to the world, she stands alone.
She can't see the hands extended to her.
She can't sense the hugs that are given.
For she is alone is a sea of loving people.

Suppressed by the painful memories, trapped.
Haunted by the horrid nightmares of the past.
Yet, the extended hands are of no use,
For she believes she can make it on her own.
Oblivious to the world, she stands alone.
