Where was he

If God is always with us
why doesn't’t he appear
when people need him most
so others stop shedding tears

where was he that night
the night a parent found their child dead
why didn't he ever save them
from the pain and the dread

and where was he that time
my friend got drunk and raped
why didn't he stop the madness
that led to her horrible fate

lastly where was he
when thousands of people died
from a plane crash in two towers
because they were trapped inside

so where was God those times
and where was he all the rest
if he’s real why doesn’t he help us
and put our lives at best
